The Australian School of Remedial Therapies Continuing Professional Education (CPE) or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses are recognised for CPE Points by professional associations including ANTA, ATMS, AMT,  AAMT and MA.
Health Fund provider agreements and professional massage associations require massage therapy practitioners to complete a minimum of 20 hours / 20 CPE points per year. Please check with your association as some may vary. ​All professional development courses are conducted as face to face training.

Myofascial Dry Needling Therapy 
ASRTDN1 Myofascial dry needling level 1​
  • Good for personal development and earn CPE / CPD points.
  • Learn to treat persistent muscular pain and hypotonic musculature.​
  • Learn to deactivate Trigger Points with commonly used fine needles.
  • 30 Hrs of face to face delivery + 10 Hrs of supervised clinical training in the campus clinic.
This course targets the major muscles of:
  • The upper extremities
  • The lower extremities
  • The posterior thoracic region
Prerequisites:
  • Applicants must hold a Diploma of Massage or higher. 
  • This training requires a solid underpinning knowledge of anatomy and physiology and uses medical terminology.
ASRTDN2 Myofascial dry needling level 2
  • Good for professional development and earn CPE / CPD points.
  • Integrate myofascial dry needling within the scope of practice of remedial massage therapy.
  • Integration with electro-intramuscular stimulation (EIMS) of the muscles to treat musculoskeletal pain, dysfunction and promote muscle conditioning.​
  • 30 Hrs of face to face delivery + 10 Hrs of supervised clinical training in the campus clinic.
This course targets the major muscles of:
  • The posterior lumbar region
  • The paraspinal region
  • The gluteal region
  • The rotator cuff
  • The anterior thoracic region
Prerequisites:
  • Successful completion of ASRTDN1 Myofascial dry needling level 1.
ASRTDN3 Myofascial dry needling level 3
  • Become nationally recognised in myofascial dry needling (Statement of Attainment for the VU21879 Provide myofascial dry needling treatment).
  • Great way to learn, earn CPE / CPD points.​
  • ​Apply your knowledge in clinical scenarios including testing and integrating of manual therapy techniques with myofascial dry needling.
  • 10 Hrs of face to face delivery + 10 Hrs of supervised clinical training in the campus clinic.
This course targets the major muscles of:
  • The cervical region
  • The TMJ
  • The head and face region
  • Perform effective myofascial day needle therapy in various clinical scenarios 
Prerequisites:
  • Successful completion of ASRTDN1 Myofascial dry needling level 1 and ASRTDN2 Myofascial dry needling level 2.
  • To enrol in ASRTDN3 Myofascial dry needling level 3 (VU21879) applicants must hold a HLT50307 or HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage or higher.
